Satellites collision simulation on GoogleEarth

The Iridium communications satellite and Russian COSMOS satellite collided on Feb 10 16:59:00 UTC 2009.
ref.Spaceflight Now | Breaking News | Two satellites collide in orbit

I've calculated the orbits of the collided satellites and put them on GoogleEarth.

The time & place of the collision.
  • Time:16:56:00 UTC
  • Longitude: 97.9
  • Latitude: 72.5
  • Altitude: 789.4km
If you've installed GoogleEarth, just load the KML file.

The animation starts 16:54:00 UTC, ends on 16:56:00 at the collision point. Vertical lines represents the time periods - 1sec from 16:55:50 to 16:56:10 and 10 sec in rest of the time.
